From Tom-toms to the Internet

The display welcomes visitors with an authentic African signal drum which accompanies the history of communication technology development starting from the first telephones and telegraphs to the contemporary devices used for transmission of sound and image using electromagnetic waves. Exhibits are placed in a chronological order and there is a short description for each exhibit.

There are several interactive models, i. e. visitors can get better acquainted with older means of communication. The presentation of Czechoslovak devices in the history of our country facilitates learning about employed principles while admiring the thorough and creative work of our ancestors.
